this unassuming place has the best dim sum in all of the houston area - everything arrived steamed to perfection. nothing was too oily or salty! on weekends, expect a consistent crowd from 10:30am - 2pm!

We had a wonderful dim sum experience at Fine River Restaurant. My only fave dim sum place in Houston. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot, with a great selection of traditional dim sum dishes. Everything tasted authentic, and the portions were perfect for sharing. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It’s a great place to enjoy dim sum with family and friends. We will definitely be coming back!

Came here for a taste of home (Taishan style) and it did not disappoint. The siu mai were juicy, pork was fresh, and the wontons honestly reminded me of back home — that proper Taishan flavour. We asked to swap the noodles for rice noodles in the wonton noodle soup since my kid doesn't eat egg noodles, and they were super accommodating about it — probably helped that it wasn't peak hour, but still, much appreciated. Chicken feet and ribs were both solid, congee was on point too, and the beef wasn't over-marinated which I really liked. Honestly, only thing I'd say is the place is tiny, but that's it. Everything else? Worth it. Definitely recommend.

This place is truly a hidden gem for dim sum! The food comes out quickly, everything is fresh, and every dish we’ve tried has been delicious. My favorite was the pork and chive dumplings. The filling was juicy, and the chives were incredibly fresh and flavourful in every bite. The sticky rice with pork and black mushrooms wrapped in lotus leaves was another standout. It was perfectly seasoned, comforting, and absolutely satisfying. The prices are also better than many of the popular dim sum restaurants in town, making it an even better value. On top of that, there’s plenty of parking, which makes visiting easy and stress-free. I almost wanted to keep this place a secret, but food this good deserves to be shared. If you’re looking for delicious dim sum without the long waits or higher prices, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I just found this place by accident. Since I’ve given up on finding a good Dim Sum restaurant in China town, I had to try this to see if it was any good. The dishes I usually order are chicken feet, tripe, sui mai, beef balls, tofu skin wrap and shrimp rice roll. This were all good and met my expectations for how they should taste. The shrimp were moist and cooked just right. New things I ordered were: -Hom Sui Gok: it’s a deep fried soft mochi with ground meat inside. It was tasty but because there wasn’t enough meat I won’t order again. -Shrimp and chive dumplings: I loved this. It was very chive forward. A lot of times I’d order chive dumplings but you can’t taste the chives. This is something I’ll get again. -Dumpling Chowzou: A meat and peanut dumpling. It’s delicious and I’ll get this again. -Flat rice beef noodles: I found this to be quite bland and would skip this next time. This is my new go-to Dim Sum spot in Chinatown. Everything was delicious here and portions were a good size. It’s not on Bellaire so I don’t know it was opened for a year but now that I know, I’ll be back again.
